Bridal Garment Care Guide
Preserve the beauty of your handcrafted couture for generations.
Every Noore Brides creation is handcrafted by skilled artisans using premium fabrics, intricate embroidery, sequins, beads, zari, and delicate embellishments. Proper care will help maintain its beauty and longevity for years to come.
Before Your Wedding
When you receive your outfit, carefully inspect the packaging and ensure the garment is stored in a cool, dry place until your special day.
Avoid unnecessary handling to protect delicate embroidery and embellishments.
If required, hang the outfit using a sturdy padded hanger or lay it flat in its garment bag.
Storage
Always store your bridal outfit in the garment bag provided or a breathable fabric cover.
Avoid plastic covers for long-term storage as they may trap moisture.
Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and heat.
Ironing & Steaming
Never place a hot iron directly on embroidery, sequins, beads, stones, or delicate fabrics.
For best results:
- Use professional steam pressing.
- Steam from the reverse side whenever possible.
- Use a protective cotton cloth if ironing is necessary.
We recommend consulting an experienced bridal garment specialist before pressing heavily embroidered pieces.
Cleaning
Bridal couture should always be professionally dry cleaned.
Do not machine wash.
Do not hand wash.
Do not bleach.
Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals or home stain-removal products.
Professional bridal dry cleaning is strongly recommended after your wedding.
Handling Embroidery
Our garments feature intricate handcrafted embroidery that deserves gentle care.
Avoid pulling on embellishments, tassels, beads, or embroidery threads.
Handle the garment carefully while dressing and undressing to prevent accidental snagging.
Perfume & Makeup
Apply perfume, deodorant, hairspray, and makeup before wearing your bridal outfit.
Direct contact with these products may stain fabrics or affect delicate embellishments.
During Your Wedding
While wearing your outfit:
- Avoid dragging the lehenga over rough surfaces.
- Take extra care around jewelry with sharp edges.
- Be mindful of heels stepping on the hem.
- Avoid exposure to open flames, fireworks, and excessive heat.
Traveling With Your Outfit
If traveling with your bridal ensemble:
- Use a high-quality garment bag.
- Fold only where necessary.
- Keep heavy embroidered dupattas separately.
- Carry the outfit as cabin baggage whenever possible for international travel.
Upon arrival, gently steam the garment before wearing.
Long-Term Preservation
Your bridal outfit is designed to become a treasured heirloom.
For long-term preservation:
- Professionally dry clean the garment after use.
- Store it in a breathable garment bag.
- Refold the garment every few months to avoid permanent fabric creases.
- Keep it away from moisture and direct sunlight.
With proper care, your couture ensemble can be cherished for generations.
